Jes Farnsworth is a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter who has most notably toured and recorded with former METALLICA bassist and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, Jason Newsted, in the band NEWSTED. 

Jes has also previously toured as a member of 80's Hollywood Sunset Strip legends JETBOY, and has recorded with legendary actor / musician Ted Neeley (Jesus Christ Superstar) to name a few.

From clubs to arenas and major European festivals (Download, Hellfest, Sonisphere, Sweden Rock) he has shared the bill with many top rock and metal acts such as Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Scorpions, Ghost, Slayer, Stone Sour, Slash, and Godsmack.

NEWSTED’s 2013 full length album “Heavy Metal Music” debuted at #40 on the US Billboard Charts. The video for the band’s single “Soldierhead” has garnered  millions of views on YouTube. The song was also featured in the Disney movie Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (starring Steve Carell).

In 2024 Jes began performing solo acoustic gigs around the greater Orlando area. With hundreds of well known songs in his repertoire, he always delivers a rockin’ good time with captivating, crowd engaging sing-alongs, performing all the best classic rock, and other great hits from the golden era of music. As a solo performer Jes has opened for several national acts at the Mount Dora Music Hall, including Close Enemies (Feat. Tom Hamilton of Aerosmith), Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad, Head East, Carl Palmer of ELP, Foghat, and Nazareth.

In April of 2026 Jes rejoined Jason Newsted in a new role as guitarist for The Chophouse Band and is currently preparing for a summer US tour.
